Globoko, rubinasto rdeče barve in gosto.
The taste is warm, soft and sweet, although this sweetness is at a lower level compared to typical port. The freshness is restrained, the tannins round out and gently dry the mouth, and the finish is mineral. An intensely flavoured, full-bodied port with an elegant, long-lasting finish that will become even more enriched with age.
VINOGRADI
Vinogradi razreda A (najvišja klasifikacija dežele Douro).
ADD
Ročno obrano grozdje so zbrali v 20 kg zabojčke in jih prepeljali v klet. Delno razpecljane grozde so položili v mehanske lagares in jih strli. Pričela je delna in spontana alkoholna fermentacija, ki so jo ustavili z dotokom vinskega destilata. Vino je približno 22 mesecev zorelo v velikih lesenih posodah, ki štejejo 100 in več let. Ustekleničeno brez filtracije in uporabe enoloških sredstev.
USE
Quinta do Infantado Vintage Port can be enjoyed immediately, but will age perfectly for 10 years or more. We advise that you place the bottle upright for two hours before opening, as a sediment may form at the bottom. Serve at 16 to 17 °C.

Quinta do Infantado

Quinta do Infantado is a historic property that has been owned by the Roseira family for over a century. They are true legends, who in 1979 sparked a wine revolution in port wine production, being the first to bottle port on the Douro estate. Until then, all wines destined for Port had to be sold to merchants in Vila Nova de Gaia, who in turn took care of sales under their own names. In 1990, however, they were the first in the valley to convert to organic production. The name 'Infantado' comes from 'Infante' (Portuguese for 'heir to the throne'), as it was the Portuguese royal family who built the winery in 1816 and used it as a residence to collect taxes in the form of grapes and wine brought to them by local producers. João Roseira now looks after the vineyards and, together with his family and friends, manages the wine production. The 46-hectare estate is located in the Covas do Douro area of Cima Corgo, on the north bank of the Douro River. All the vineyards are classified as Class A, thanks to their excellent vines, and thrive at an altitude of between 150 and 350 metres above sea level. The grapes used for the Infantado Port come from mixed vineyards that are up to 100 years old. These produce very low yields and very concentrated grapes, which are ideal for port production. Quinta do Infantado offers a range of Port wines that differ from the more commercially known ones in their 'winey' style. Most of the port wines are allowed to undergo spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in the lagares (open tanks in which the mechanical legs shake the grapes), which is stopped by the addition of 77 % per cent of wine distillate. Their port wines are still sweet, but they belong to the medium-dry category. They produce a wide range of wines; from the concentrated and unfiltered Late Bottled Vintage to the rich and balanced Vintage Port and the delicious, nutty 10Year-Old Tawny. The White Port is made from Gouveio, Rabigato, Viosinho and Moscatel Galego varieties and is distinguished by its citrus notes, with a well-balanced sweetness. Sort by popularity
