Domaine Slapšak

Building on the solid foundations laid by Martin and Tanja, the young generation is now writing new chapters in the Slapšak story. Combining French approaches and Slovenian traditions to create their wines, they have created the Domaine Slapšak brand.

Urška's partner, François Botton, originally from Champagne, France, is a winemaker by training and an expert in the production of traditional method sparkling wines. He trained at the University of Reims in Champagne and later worked for prestigious Champagne houses such as Roederer. He has worked as a consultant oenologist in Champagne and Alsace, and since 2006 has been advising major wineries around the world.

Together with my brothers-in-law Andrej and Matej, they quickly got to work. They planted additional vineyards, including pinot noir and chardonnay, and started producing sparkling wine. Matej takes care of the technical side, while Andrej is fully committed to working on the estate and developing the young company.
