Chiarofiore, 2015, Tunia, 0,75 l

23,90

Taste the organically produced Chiarofiore. The amber colour of the trebbiano and vermentino varieties indicates prolonged strawberry maceration. It entices us with aromas of dried and candied fruit, sweet spices and dry white flowers. Intense and slightly astringent.

Produced by harvesting the trebbiano and vermentino four times to bring out the best in the grapes, the wine boasts a clear, amber colour and a dense texture.

The aromas are intense and mainly spicy. There is a slight botrytis note accompanied by cloves, followed by aromas of almond, dried apricot, candied orange, apple segments, dried yellow flowers and caramel.

It is dry on the palate, soft and refreshing at the same time. The mineral note is intertwined with an astringency resulting from the long maceration. A wine of intensity and structure, with just the right persistence to call for another sip. An exceptional representative of macerated white wines.

Tunia

Tunia is a young property founded in 2008 by Chiara Innocenti, Francesca di Benedetto and her brother Andrea. Francesca is the heart of Tunia, managing the production as a biologist and oenologist. Tunia was the name of the most important God in the Etruscan pantheon and the estate, located in Val di Chiana in Arezzo, bears it as a tribute to the land on which it lies. In respect of it, all the produce on the farm is produced according to organic farming principles, for which they have also been certified. The estate covers 25 hectares planted with Sangiovese and Trebbiano varieties (planted in 1970) and, more recently (2005), Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese varieties. Part of the Trebbiano has recently been inoculated with Vermentino. It also boasts an olive grove of 600 olive trees.
