Vino z ekstraktno, rubinasto rdečo barvo s škrlatnim odtenkom.
Cvetica je intenzinva, razkošna. Zaznamo črni ribez, zrelo slivo, gozdno jagodičevje, vaniljo, čokolado, kavo, poper, usnje in pražene oreščke.
Vino krepkega telesa z intenzivnim okusom, kjer svežina in tanini izražajo dolgoživost vina, ki bo svoj eleganten karakter le še stopnjevalo. Vino plemenitosti, kreposti in dolgega, harmoničnega pookusa.
Grape varieties: tempranillo
Vino so pridelali iz ročno obranega grozdja, dveh vinogradov, ki sta bila zasajena leta 1957 in 1959.
Polovico grozdja so razpecljali, pri pridelavi druge polovice so uporabili cele grozde. Striktni selekciji je sledila 12-dnevna maceracija z dnevnim prelivanjem mošta čez vrelno kapo, na začetku intenzvino, s postopnim zmanjševanjem intenzivnosti proti zaključku. Alkoholna fermentacija je bila izpeljana z avtohtonimi kvasovkami pri kontroliranih temperaturah okoli 23 °C.
Po nežnem prešanju je vino zorelo 16 mesecev v novih barrique sodčkih iz francoskega in ameriškega lesa, v katerih je tudi izpeljajo mlečnokislinsko konverzijo.

Bodegas Sierra Cantabria was founded in 1957 by Guillermo Eguren, a self-taught winemaker with a family tradition of viticulture. His family originates from San Vicente de La Sonsierra, one of the most prestigious terroirs in Rioja, and has been growing grapes in Rioja Alavesa since 1870. Today, the fourth generation of the Eguren family directs all aspects of the winemaking process, with Marcos Eguren as winemaker and operations manager and his brother Miguel Angel Eguren as general manager. The family produces all its grapes and wine on its own estates. As winegrowers in Rioja Alavesa, they produce the vast majority of Tempranillo with only a small percentage of Garnache and Graciano, as they are aware that these varieties do not produce reliable results in the area. Thanks to its long tradition of viticulture, the Eguren family prides itself on understanding its vineyards to a degree that is quite unique and respectable in the wine world. The vineyards are cultivated according to sustainable principles, with minimal intervention and following biodynamic principles. All wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts sourced from their own vineyards.
