The wine is light straw yellow in colour. It is characterised by aromas of white flowers, vegetal nuances of aromatic herbs, notes of white fleshy fruits, citrus and tropical fruits. The rich and abundant flavour has a ripe and satisfying fruitiness that lengthens towards a fresh and spicy finish.

Les Pins Francs may predict the structure and typical sauvignon aromas with its varietal composition - 85 % sauvignon and 15 % semmilion - but the wine surprises and impresses from the first sip.
For the first few minutes in the glass, the aromas are delicate, fruity and slightly grassy. As the wine breathes over the next few minutes, the aromas develop into a wonderful array of spices, both fresh and dry - thyme, oregano and sage, with a hint of spruce. On the palate, the wine just explodes! The body is beautiful, the wine is just soft and certainly beautifully balanced.
Les Pins Francs was produced in inox tanks, without contact with wooden barrels and by cold maceration before fermentation.
The wine is organically produced and Demeter certified."

Château Jean Faux je starodavna posest v Bordeaxu. Zgodba sega v srednji vek, ko je bil Sainte-Radegonde templjarska vas. V 16. stoletju je posest pripadala družini Du Mas, v 18. stoletju je grof Ezechiel du Mas posest popolnoma prenovil. Današnji lastnik in vinar Pascal Colotte se je s svojo družino na posest Jean Faux preselil leta 2002. Sprva izdelovalec sodov je Pascal leta potoval po vinogradih sveta in nato še sam postal vinar. V osrčju regije Bordeaux, v vasi Sainte-Radegonde, je Jean Faux edinstvena posest. Gleda proti apelaciji Saint-Emilion, kateri je podobna po sestavi tal: glina, kreda in apnenc. Le četrtina zemlje posesti Chateau Jean Faux je zasajena z vinsko trto. Ostalo so gozdovi, travniki, potoki, ribniki - popoln ekosistem za razvoj biodiverzitete. Najlepši terroirji so rezervirani za trto in obsegajo 12,8 hektarjev: 10,6 hektarjev posesti je zasajenih z rdečim grozdjem, 2,2 hektara pa z belim. Trgatev poteka ročno, sortiranje jagod je zelo strogo. Od leta 2008 vina Jean Faux pridelujejo ekološki, vendar so že pred tem delali brez kemikalij. V letu 2014 je Pascal začel s prehodom na biodinamiko. Danes že delujejo z biodinamičnim certifikat - tako Demeter, kot tudi francoski Biodyvin.
