Lime-laporate soils on sandstone pebble conglomerate and limestone. A very steep, south-easterly position which gives the wines early ripeness and full body. The grapes from this position are usually over-ripe and often affected by botrytis, a noble rot.
The wine has a golden yellow colour and a dense texture.
The bouquet is intense, with notes of dried apricots, apple crumble, smoke and honey. It is refined, rounded and rich on the palate, with a slightly tannic structure and aromas of yellow fruit.
Suitable for aperitifs or with starter dishes, with steamed lobster or scallops.
